Job Description

Product Development & Management Co-op students at Cox are considered to be an integral part of the PD&M staff. They are provided with projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. They work under the guidance of the senior staff.

We have an opportunity in our Video Product development team for enthusiastic individuals with an interest in both the technology and business side of the entertainment industry who are willing to help us develop the next generation of consumer video products.

Projects/Assignments may include but are not limited to the following:

* Assisting with research and competitive analysis on the products, applications, devices, and services offered by Cox, other cable companies, and our competitors.
* Assisting with ideation, concept development, and detailed requirements writing for mobile applications and shared services.
* Assisting with the product development and management processes through the entire lifecycle of various video projects from initial ideation through post-launch optimization and customer support.
* Assisting with project financial tracking and the preparation/updating of business and usage models.
* Assisting in the compilation and analysis of data for presentation to upper management.
* General office work, as required.

Minimum Requirements:

* Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as Management, Business, Finance, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or Information Sciences program with a very strong emphasis academically and personally in technology. Engineering or Computer Science majors with a strong interest in business may also be considered.


* Students must be able to commit to a minimum of three Co-op semester rotations (typically Freshmen, Sophomores, and/or Juniors).


* Co-op positions are located in Atlanta, GA; Cox Communications does not provide a housing allowance.



Preferred

One or more of the following:

* Double major in management and engineering/computer science.
* Knowledge of marketing, finance, and business strategy.
* Experience or coursework in data analytics and statistics.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies and software such as MS Project.
* Knowledge of HTML, middleware development, and SQL.
* Experience or coursework in graphic design and user experience development.
