Job Description

The Coursera Analytics team is looking for talented data warehouse engineers to design and implement systems for data management and business intelligence. We're looking for independent, analytically-minded individuals with strong software engineering skills, data warehousing and business intelligence experience, great communication skills, and who share our passion for education!

For this specific role, responsibilities include:

Working with engineers, product managers, and analysts to understand data needs.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's enterprise data warehouse.
Developing extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Identifying and fixing data quality issues.
Building data models and documenting data schemas.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and dashboard construction.

The ideal candidate:

Has a B.S. or M.S. in a related technical field.
Has at least 5 years of industry experience with data warehouse management.
Has demonstrated independence based on past projects.
Has a passion for learning new technologies.
Has experience with big data processing tools (e.g., Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive).
Is proficient with relational databases and SQL.
Is proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python).
Communicates technical concepts clearly and concisely in oral and written form.
