Auditor's Payroll Technician - Confidential $25.30 - $30.77 per hour

Additionally, this position is designated "confidential" and as such, receives an additional $0.90/hour premium on top of the above hourly pay rate

Being an Auditor's Payroll Technician - Confidential

The Payroll Division of the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office (ACTTC), provides payroll support to all 27 County departments and 5 special districts. As a Technician, you will interact with each department's payroll and/or accounting staff in order to accurately and effectively process payroll and payroll related activities. You will be responsible for:

• Liaising with County departments, employees, insurance carriers, and service suppliers to assure correct administration of employee salaries and benefits

• Conducting analysis and evaluation of difficult and complex payroll problems in order to arrive at solutions

• Correctly applying a broad knowledge of state and federal tax laws and regulations and the County's Civil Service Rules

• Reading, interpreting, implementing, and explaining aspects of 11 memoranda of understanding (MOU's), the Salary Resolution, and a variety of County policies and procedures
