Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for entry level Occupational Therapist I who perform a wide variety of individual therapy programs for the occupational rehabilitation of patients. Duties include assessing, planning and implementing physical, socio-cultural and self-care programs; observing and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment, suggesting treatment changes and conferring with physicians and other staff regarding patients' treatment and process; teaching daily living skills such as muscle re-education, hygiene, nutrition, communication and problem solving with educational subjects directed at restoring and maintaining the patient's highest level of functioning. The immediate vacancy is in ARMC's Rehabilitation Services Department; however, the resulting list will be used to fill future vacancies throughout the medical center as they occur.

We are also accepting applications for Occupational Therapist II, for those applicants possessing a year or more of experience, which requires a separate application.

ARMC is host to a Rehabilitation Services Department that is dedicated to providing a supportive environment in which entry level Occupational Therapist can obtain exceptional acute care hospital experience in a university affiliated teaching facility.

Occupational Therapists I are eligible for promotion to Occupational Therapist II ($5,562 to $7,652 monthly) upon meeting the minimum qualifications and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicant must possess all of the following:

License: Must possess and maintain a valid Occupational Therapy license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (California Board of Occupational Therapy).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Certification: Must possess and maintain a Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
