Leads cross-functional projects to deliver new products or new processes that meet customer requirements and the needs of the business. Manages projects through the defined processes at the plant and business level. Collaborates with manufacturing, engineering and quality organizations for successful transfer of new products or processes. Provides technical guidance to ensure that projects are feasible and achieve desired objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership for key projects including new process or product development, and manufacturing process improvements.  Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, resource plans and technical feasibility through involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.  Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Perform risk management assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize project risks during the execution of the overall project plan.
  • Remove obstacles to effective project execution by coordinating and communicating with functional support departments and internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Determine resource requirements for assigned projects and lead and manage cross-functional project resources to achieve successful implementation of projects.
  • Work collaboratively with receiving organization for the transfer new technology.
  • Communicate results, progress to plan, and any key issues to customer(s), stakeholders, and team members.
  • Establish customer requirements for project deliverables, the business case for the project, and develop and execute the project plans.


  • B.S. in Engineering, Biochemistry or other technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the leadership of technology/manufacturing projects.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated active leadership ability to establish direction, challenging goals, and clear expectations in driving to achieve results
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including MS Office suite, MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Results oriented with excellent decision making skills and the ability to effectively analyze and interpret data from multiple sources and establish direction as required


  • Project Management Certification, strongly desired.
  • Experience in leading and managing multiple projects, simultaneously.
  • Ability to function independently with general direction and objectives
  • Experience leading cross-function teams to drive innovation, continuous improvement, expanding technical capability, work redesign or other change efforts.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis, and problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with transferring or receiving technical projects
