Continental Automotive located in Deer Park, IL is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Vehicle Networking and Information (VNI) group. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

* The Electrical Engineering Intern will be supporting the dynamic Electrical Engineering HW and SW development team group to develop and test of 4G and 5G cellular communication devices for the Automotive industry
* Develop understanding of product functionality, gain experience with functional and parametric product testing, participate in hands-on troubleshooting
* Participate in feature development and debug activities
* Document test results in an organized manner and good attention to detail
* Follow defined engineering procedures and possibly create new engineering procedures
* Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with different priorities

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program
* Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity
* Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Student working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* Able to work up to 40hrs/week during the Summer (minimum of 12 weeks)
* Junior or Senior class standing
* Strong written and communication skills.
