Job Description

Overview:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and development of advanced driver

assistance system control modules, radar, camera, and lidar sensors from concept phase to production.

Core Responsibilities:

Supports lead system engineer for cross discipline technical topics

(electronics, software, algorithm, mechanics…) and/or vehicle system level interface issues.

Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into

DOORS for requirements to test traceability

Responsible for adapting/defining product architecture to meet customer requirements.

Support of the project team in understanding and interpreting the requirements

Support interfaces to customer for system requirements

Evaluate internal and external engineering design change requests

Work closely with project managers, developers and customers

Additional Responsibilities

Support the System FMEA process

Applies ISO26262 to the management of safety related requirements

Support customer presentations, interfacing with OEMs on technical topics

Ensure designs meet customer requirements & specifications Job Requirements Required Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field

Minimum 1-year experience in automotive industry (or internship/coop)

Excellent communication, team, and presentation skills.

Be able to work in distributed global team environment

Proficient in the use of organization and planning methods

Able to learn to work with new technologies and systems

Excellent engineering analysis/analytical ability

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Although infrequent the applicant must be able to travel to domestic and international locations

(engineering and manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years professional experience in Automotive Electronic Products or Systems

General knowledge of automotive electronic sensor/module/systems

Experience in driver assistance or other safety electronic products.

Experience in requirements engineering/management process

Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS

Experience with software lifecycle management tools such as PTS/MKS Integrity
