Job Description

Intern - Tax Accountant


This internship will be for a full year, selected candidate must be enrolled in school and able to work for a year. Preferred graduation December 2020 or 2021.

Assist the corporate tax team with a variety of corporate tax functions.

* Assist with completion of Sales Tax Returns
* Assist with completion of Waste Tire Fee Returns
* Assist with completion of Tax Exemption Forms
* Track Notices
* Scanning and mailing returns
* check requests
* Account clearing & reconciliations
* Maintain Files
* Miscellaneous clerical items/projects as required.
* Must have clerical skills and interest/desire to work in a Tax Department.

Position is open for candidates searching currently and not for candidates seeking

internships for future semester


Basic Qualifications:

* Actively enrolled in at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited degree university
* Degree focusing on Tax, Accounting, Finance or similar
* Able to work at least 20 hours per week in the office
* At least a 2.8 GPA

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Tax
* Able to work 30 hours per week

The Tire division is known for maximizing safety through short braking distances and excellent grip as well as reducing fuel consumption by minimizing rolling resistance. Tires are the vehicle's only link with the road. They transmit all forces onto the road. It is the tire technology that determines whether a vehicle is able to stop in time and stay in the correct lane during cornering maneuvers.


1905 Continental produces riveted anti-skid tires, a forerunner of steel-studded tires. 1907 The first edition of Continental's Road Atlas for motorists and motorcyclists is published. 1908 Continental invents the detachable rim for saloon cars - a remarkable innovation to help save time and effort when changing a tire. 1909 Specimens of synthetic rubber developed at the Bayer laboratories are successfully vulcanized at Continental and processed to make the first test tires. Louis Blériot, the pioneer aviator, makes his historic Channel flight. The fuselage and wings of his plane are covered with Continental's Aeroplan material. 1912 Construction of an administration building designed by architect Peter Behrens begins in Vahrenwalder Street. In 1986, this building is bought by the Hanover City Council to house a new technology center.
