Position Description

Tech writer to convert over 3800 pages of original equipment manufacturer manuals and diagrams into standard operating procedure documentation for use in training and daily operation of a wine cellar and bottling operation. This will include some time on site, so travel will be required for those outside the Bay Area. These visits will include facility tour, opportunity to gather visual images (static and video) and periodic visits to review progress and gather feedback. Previous experience creating documentation for food and beverage manufacturing environments is preferred. Templates of similar documentation from other facilities will be provided.

In addition, looking for someone with demonstrated ability to use drag and drop editing software to create webpage versions of process documentation. Familiarity with adding video and images to online documentation would be a plus.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
