Learning & Development Coordinator - Silicon Valley, July 2016

Connor Group has an excellent opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator. The position will support the firm National Training Coordinator as well as various partners/directors/managers that are involved in firm learning and education activities.

The Learning & Development Coordinator will be expected to be a highly organized person that is adept at juggling multiple projects and responsibilities, able to take initiative to complete complex tasks such as coordinating the logistics of various training programs across the firm quickly and autonomously, able to administer the learning management system (LMS) and ensure firm compliance with state and national learning and education requirements. In addition, the Learning & Development Coordinator will be expected to develop strong working relationships and maintain a high level of professional standards in written and verbal communications.

Job Summary:

The L&D Coordinator is responsible for the following:

* Become a positive and trusted resource for the Learning & Education team in all internal and external interactions.
* Display strong critical thinking/problem solving abilities and adaptability in potentially ambiguous situations, while maintaining a positive attitude towards accomplishing objectives in a timely manner.
* Work collaboratively and/or individually to assist with the development and logistical execution of various training programs (local, remote and virtual) to create great learning experiences for all firm employees.
* Proactively, organize/manage and execute logistics for various trainings. This includes, though is not limited to, setting up classrooms/webinars, class registrations, sending and monitoring calendar invitations and coordinating attendance tracking for all instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training classes.
* Manage and administer the Learning Management System, including tracking of class course offerings, attendance, completion and issuance of CPE certificates, within the learning management system (LMS).
* Collaboratively assist the National Training Coordinator in ensuring that the firm's educational offerings comply with various state and national requirements.
* Assist with the development and enhancement of firm learning and education infrastructure.
* Collaboratively assist with the creation and monitoring of firm training performance metrics by compiling data from the LMS.
* Assist with the development of firm policies and procedures around learning and education.
* Work collaboratively and/or individually to draft and edit written correspondence in the form of memos, emails, external or internal communications; create and/or maintain various spreadsheets, presentations and other materials as meetings or projects arise.
* Track and monitor which employees are registered for firm supported Becker program
* Gather and maintain applicable licensure information for all employees.


* 3-7 years previous experience supporting VP or higher levels of Executives
* 3+ years working with LMS (posting, reporting and managing LMS for educational offerings)
* Demonstrates strong initiative, proactive planning, resourcefulness, problem-solving abilities and heavily focused on customer service
* Exquisite attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, strong project management skills, ability to prioritize, take ownership and responsibility
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Positive energy and a great attitude
* Extremely professional, personable, likeable and an overall team player
* Intermediate or higher MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Conversant with NASBA and state board of accountancy continuing professional education requirements
* Learn Live or On24 experience a plus, but not required
* College degree or equivalent (GPA 3.0 or above)
