Job Description

ORCA HOUSE INC., has an immediate opening for an Assessment/Intake Counselor position. He/she will be responsible for processing all intake and assessment information on new customers or customer who are changing level of care; and clinically staffing all client assessments and/or referral information with the appropriate clinical staff and thoroughly documenting all recommendations and findings.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or a GED with a CDCA required. Plus, two years of professional experience in the field of chemical dependency or mental health treatment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health with a LSW, LICDC, LISW, LLPC or LPCC preferred.
  • Must know state, local, and Medicaid standards for chemical dependency treatment.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must demonstrate sound, clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must demonstrate adequate knowledge of community resources.
