Talent Acquisition Intern - Description

This internship is a part of CONMED TALENT LAUNCH - a hands on, immersive program designed to provide students with the exposure, experience and development needed to launch a successful career at CONMED. Program highlights include networking with senior leaders and recent college graduates, feedback and coaching, cross-functional shadowing opportunities, and more!

At CONMED, our Talent Acquisition Team strives to efficiently place the best talent in the right roles. We are seeking a driven, people-focused and marketing savvy Intern to join our team during Summer 2020. As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will gain exposure to Talent Acquisition strategies and best practices. You will develop marketing, human resources and talent acquisition skills and experience through hands on program coordination, conducting marketing evaluation and shadowing team members.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student seeking a robust internship related to Human Resources, Marketing, Communications or Workforce Development at a growing international medical device company based out of Utica, NY.

Intern Responsibilities Include:

* Employer Brand Marketing
* Compile a competitive analysis of CONMED's employer brand marketing, with a special focus on University Recruiting and digital content
* Identify opportunities to improve CONMED's employer brand marketing
* Create and implement marketing strategies utilizing our CRM, website, blog, social media platforms and other media and initiatives, with a focus on University Recruiting
* Research and evaluate the potential of a CONMED Campus Ambassadors Program, which would mobilize former interns in marketing the internship program and entry level employment opportunities on college campuses

* Talent Launch Internship Program
* Collect real-time feedback from interns and supervisors throughout the program and implement ideas for improvement
* Evaluate intern and supervisor feedback and create an Internship Program SWOT Analysis and recommended action items to improve the program moving forward
* Coordinate development events at the Utica site by communicating logistics to interns and supervisors, gathering materials and setting up for events
* Coordinate the intern shadowing program, which provides interns an opportunity to learn about a function outside their assigned department
* Document the internship program through photos, videos and other creative media to showcase the program internally and externally
* Build an online intern community via Microsoft's Yammer platform

* Talent Acquisition
* Source potential candidates via LinkedIn, Career Builder, Phenom People, etc.
* Review and disposition applications via the Workday Applicant Tracking System
* Represent CONMED at career fairs and community events

Position Requirements:

* Pursuing completion of a bachelors or master's degree
* Experience in a campus leadership position is highly preferred, such as Student Government, New Student Orientation, Greek Life, Athletics, or Professional Associations
* Must be available to work onsite out of the Utica, NY facility, Monday - Friday throughout the summer internship program (mid-May - mid-August)
