Job Description




Hours: Approximately 8-24 hours per week. The shifts will be between 4-8 hours per shift, which will be days, evenings, and/or weekends.

As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Intern you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to perform a variety of drug information and technician duties while in training to become proficient in general pharmacy practices, procedures, and etiquette. You will perform drug inventory and delivery services, as directed.

About the Facility: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, award-winning 456-bed facility offering a full range of patient services including six medical/surgical units, advanced critical care, neonatal intensive care, and emergency and trauma care. The hospital also features comprehensive rehabilitation services and a freestanding behavioral health facility. Owned by the County of San Bernardino, ARMC has a 24-hour Emergency Department which was recently voted "ER of the Year" by the California Emergency Physicians (CEP), Level 1 Primary Stroke Center, and the only Burn Center serving San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono counties. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The Pharmacy is a busy and fast paced environment. Management of the Pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy Staff are employees of CPS.

Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Enrolled in or graduated from an accredited pharmacy school program
* CA Pharmacy Intern License in good standing
* Prior healthcare experience preferred with basic knowledge of medications
* Effective verbal and written communication skills; basic math and computer skills
