Job Description

Description-

Responsible for responding to employee questions and inquiries about employee benefit programs and human resources policies including in person questions, phone calls, and emails. Prepares appropriate documentation and processes necessary paperwork. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Shadows HR Generalist and Director to understand recruitment techniques, benefits, employee relations, interviews, and more. Attends meetings with director to understand backside of HR. Creates flyers and employee correspondence. Works on special projects including annual evaluations, salary surveys, exit interviews, recognitions, and more. Works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager. Flexible schedule; willing to work with candidates schedule. Internship will be unpaid

Qualifications-

Needs to be currently enrolled in a HR or Business program at either a 2 year college or 4 year university, enrolled in MBA or MS-HRM program, or recently graduated from a HR program. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within HR. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and phone and email etiquette. Internship will last minimum of 16 weeks and is expected to start in January. Minimum of 24 hours each week.
