Special Events Intern ( Summer)

Corporate Office, St. Paul MN

Flexible Hours between 9 am -5 pm (Monday through Friday) June- August

September: negotiable

20 hours/week

We are excited to announce an opening for a Special Events Intern supporting CommonBond's Birdies for Hope Golf Tournament which will take place on Monday, September 16, 2019.

This position offers a range of hands-on learning opportunities including data management, website and social media publicity, and vendor and volunteer management. Internship runs June - August 2019 with the potential to go through late September based on intern availability. Intern ideally will be present at the Birdies for Hope Golf Tournament on Monday, September 16, 2019 - including set up, event execution, and clean-up/tear-down and ideally participate in post-event briefing

PAID INTERNSHIP: $10.00

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Manage all components of Silent Auction for the Golf Tournament

2) Participate on Birdies for Hope Golf Tournament Planning Committee

3) Assist CommonBond staff with other event logistics

4) Participate fully in CommonBond's Birdies for Hope Golf Tournament on Monday, September 16, 2019 (negotiable based on intern availability)

5) Participate in post-event debrief (negotiable based on intern availability)

Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility to work both as a team and independently
* Enthusiastic about learning new skills, databases, and event functions
* Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with the public
* Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and follow up
* Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
