Job Description

Overview

This position is primarily responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable as well as file maintenance and audit preparation.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate with ice rink on daily deposits which includes reviewing and posting to accounting software
* Perform and analyze GL account reconciliations monthly
* Prepare monthly audit work papers
* Coordinate with Box Office on daily reports and deposits
* Reconcile the daily credit card sales from the ticketing system
* Verify the weekly statements from the ticketing company and approve payment of the invoice
* File maintenance in preparation for year-end audit
* Prepare a variety of financial spreadsheets, reports, and analyses for Director of Finance and General Manager.
* Assist with customer service initiatives on event days
* Assist in providing general office and clerical support

Qualifications

* Current college business major, preferably accounting major
* Minimum of 3.2 cumulative GPA required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Prior business exposure through internships, work experiences or campus organizations preferred
* Ability to think independently and work collaboratively
* Ability to meet deadlines, work in a timely manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
* Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays in addition to traditional business hours, is required.
* Previous customer service experiences a must
* Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid drivers' license
