Job Description

Dr. Richard Axel's laboratory has a position available for a motivated research technician. The position will involve working with laboratory animals, surgery, and histology.

Under supervision from the postdoctoral fellows, the Tech B will be working on:

* Training laboratory animals on learning tasks;
* Performing surgeries on rodents;
* Performing histology on nervous tissue. Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Previous experience working with laboratory animals. Special Instructions Preferred Qualifications -Ideal for recent graduates, with a Bachelor's or Master's -Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail are required;

* Candidate must be flexible and willing to function in a fast-paced and changing work environment;

Degree in science wishing to gain practical training in a state-of-the art research environment;
