Job Description

This position provides support to the 46 Test Squadron Business Office at Eglin AFB for Cybersecurity Range Facilities Program Engineering.

* Supports the 46 Test Squadron Eglin AFB FL in planning, programming and overseeing the construction of 46 TS C4ISR and Cybersecurity test facilities and buildings. This position will be co-located with Eglin AFB civil engineering staff to support and facilitate the construction of 46 TS test facilities. Duties will include participating in Eglin AFB civil engineering and business management processes including request for proposal/quote, contracting, design reviews, specifications, detailed drawings, cost estimating, reviewing building plans, environmental assessments, health and safety, construction, final acceptance and related requirements.
* Coordinates with internal and external organizations for construction requirements including safety, contracting, technical support, facilities, logistics, communications, and facility security.
* Some travel to Temporary Duty locations may be required.
* Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays when required to meet mission requirements on occasion.
* Requires an active Secret security clearance. Top Secret eligibility is desired.

Required Experience

Bachelor's of Science degree in a technical field and 3-10 years of applicable experience is required. Six years of applicable technical experience may be substituted for the technical BS Degree requirement (Total of 9 Years) or four years of experience with an applicable Associates Degree (Total of 7 Years).

* Experience in civil engineering installation management, large facilities maintenance, infrastructure, or large construction projects is required.
* Military Construction (MILCON) and Facility Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM/ Operations and Maintenance programming experience is required.
* Extensive experience in DOD civil engineering is highly desired.
* Experience in Air Force civil engineering processes and Air Force construction and installation management is a plus.
* General understanding of Civil Engineering (CE) or Department of Public Works (DPW) construction processes and regulations (IE: AFIs 32-1021, 32-1032).
* Knowledge of the DD Form 332 (CE work order) routing and approval process.
* Have a basic understanding of construction funding (IE: 3300, 3400, 3600 funding).
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (blueprints) and construction specification.
* Must have the ability to interface with AFB officials, civil engineering, program managers, financial managers, contracting, and leadership personnel regarding project requirements and status.
* Must be proficient in the use and integration of MS Office Word, Excel and Power point applications.
* Must be capable of traveling to TDY locations as needed.
