The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure track position in Finance. Rank is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The department has needs for faculty in investments, financial management, and financial markets. The start date will be August of 2019.

The Department of Finance and Real Estate is one of five departments in the College of Business. The Department has a strong record of research and teaching accomplishments, and expects faculty to be active in the academic community. The Department provides undergraduate concentrations in finance (with options in corporate finance, and investments), financial planning, and real estate, offers a graduate program in finance, and participates in the other graduate programs of the College.

The Department currently has 13 tenure-track and 6 non-tenure track faculty. The Department serves the more than 500 undergraduate students in finance and real estate and supports a successful master's program in the finance area.

Assistant/Associate professor to teach courses in investments, financial management, and financial markets, and conduct and publish research in these areas in peer-reviewed journals.

Candidates must have a (1) Ph.D./DBA degree in finance or related area, or expect to complete their degree before the position's start date; (2) record of high quality working papers or publications in finance commensurate with experience; (3) demonstrated interest to teach in the areas of need; (4) willingness to contribute to departmental service activities in a collegial fashion.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following characteristics: (1) potential for high quality research publishable in top finance journals; (2) potential for high quality teaching in finance.
