Job Description

Regional Development Officer/ Campus Community Use Coordinator Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs.

This is a unique, shared role with the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Foundation and the Steamboat Campus.  This individual will serve as a fundraiser in support of the Steamboat campus and College, as well as a coordinator of the Steamboat Campus’s community-use space.  All fundraising coordination and tracking is at the direct supervision of the Foundation’s Director of Development, with the Foundation CEO providing strategic guidance.   This individual will identify, research, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals, businesses and grant making organizations in the assigned geographic area on behalf of the Colorado Mountain College Foundation.  S/he will plan and attend Foundation events in conjunction with the Steamboat campus, ensure sustainability of donor relationships, effectively communicate the vision, mission and funding needs of the College, will work in tandem with CMC and CMC Foundation leadership in identifying and securing appointments with potential educational and business partners. Additionally, s/he will assist and work with CMC Foundation Steamboat Board members as an identifier, connector and College ambassador with local prospects.

Additionally, under the direction of the Vice President of the Steamboat Campus, this individual is charged with serving as the Campus Community Use Coordinator with a goal of maximizing the campus’ room usage to enhance community connections and strengthen strategic partnerships utilizing the Steamboat campus. S/he will actively encourage community members to utilize CMC Steamboat’s rooms for meetings, events and dining and serve as a point of contact for all bookings, facility use and rental agreements and other special needs. S/he will set up and maintain a room usage database and communicate regularly with campus leadership and key internal departments for scheduling, preparation and execution of community use activity on campus.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally competent environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, and community members having diverse backgrounds.  Some travel within CMC’s 11-campus footprint is required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities helpful.
