Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Life and Housing, the Residence Life Coordinator will live on campus and be responsible to provide management and oversight to residents within the residence hall. This position develops and implements policies, programs, and procedures for running successful housing operations. This position is responsible for tracking and analyzing current services and trends within housing, then proposing changes as needed. Approximately half of this position is administrative in nature while the other half is spent working with students in various capacities such as: coordinating community and student development through student staff supervision, advising various student organizations, implementation of departmental policies and procedures, and building operation management. This is a live-in position which requires evening and weekend work. This position requires the incumbent to live in the residence hall and provides room and board as part of the compensation package. Hiring range = $50,000 - $55,555.56 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. Examples may include a bachelor’s degree and one year related experience, or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position. Special Skills or abilities related to position: theory, principles, and practices of residence/student life, counseling and advising practices and methods, laws pertaining to student rights.
