Job Description

Transportation Maintenance Worker I - Full-time Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Maybell, CO (JOA)

The Transportation Maintenance Worker I position performs highway maintenance and operates heavy equipment. Responsibilities include snow removal, road side and road surface maintenance, traffic device/sign installation and maintenance, pavement marking installation and maintenance and bridge structure maintenance. This position will spend up to six months out of the year working in the Joint Operation Area along the I-70 mountain corridor.

Salary Range: $2,864 - $4,072 per month + a $421 pay differential per month. The base salary is typically $2864 per month

Requires eighteen (18) months in heavy construction or physical labor experience and six (6) months heavy equipment operation experience; OR eighteen (18) months heavy equipment operation experience and six (6) months heavy construction or physical labor experience; A Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Type A or B with no restrictions on air brakes is also required.
