Job Description

Summary:

The Milwaukee office for Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a dynamic engineer to be an integral part of the team and work under the guidance of the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer. The successful candidate will have a background in or an interest in construction management and have the opportunity to work on construction management projects for roadways, bridges, major interchanges, and other infrastructure projects. There will also be opportunity for travel and field work up to 50% of the time.

Continuing development and participation with technical committees will be encouraged and supported.

* Responsible for monitoring contractor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.
* Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
* Assists in the completion of reports.
* Keeps Resident Engineer informed of work load and any daily activities.
* Be able to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
* Knows how to perform his/her duties safely.
* Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university
* 0-4 years of construction experience
* Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required for this role.
* Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or able to obtain within one year
* Valid drivers license
