The Associate Brand Manager, Innovation is responsible for developing current and long-range business plans for designated products or categories in order to drive sustainable growth. Key responsibility includes:

 

  • Developing, assisting and readying for commercialization new products within current and new categories that will incrementally grow the brand / business as well as support broader category growth.
  • Help in concept development, qualification, optimization, and validation
  • Partner with Insights community to mine relevant consumer and customer insights ; execute research plans as needed to guide business decisions and validate opportunities
  • Managing project timelines, processes and activities across large cross-functional team to develop new product bundles (Research & Development, Insights, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Plant/production etc.)
  • Evaluating  new product business analyses
  • Managing relationship with Go-To-Market team & Customer Development to execute successful new product launches and identify and recommend the right mix of exclusive opportunities for strategic customers of first to market / evergreen
  • In partnership with base business category leaders, help develop multi-year category growth strategies leveraging product development and marketing innovation
  • Present strategy and activity recommendations to management for review and direction setting
  • Manage  brand equity considerations as input to driving business decisions
  • Identify opportunities for implementing  packaging improvements relative to sustainability, recyclability, carbon footprint for key items / categories
  • Help define priorities for financial investment

 

Role Requirements:

  • MBA required
  • 3+ years of professional experience packaged goods / CPG marketing or relevant business environment
  • Experience engaging / partnering directly with customers to build and execute mutually beneficial solutions
  • Proven track record of delivering against business objectives and/or sales targets
  • Strong data-driven strategic analysis and strategy development skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to embrace change; willingness to be flexible
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable with working with cross-functional teams and various levels of management
