Job Description

Business Analyst

HPA is looking for an organized, responsible individual who will work directly with clients for this entry-level position. The Business Analyst is encouraged to review business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify improvements, detail those processes, and connect business people to information technology groups in an organization. Additional duties will include QA testing, project management, generating reports, and root-cause analysis.

The Business Analyst will work as a liaison between business partners and technical experts to translate business requirements into comprehensive and accurate set of requirements. Second, employee must build a suitable test matrix that adapts and fits to each scenario to accurately test each set of requirements prior to development. The same requirements level test matrix will be used to perform software UAT.

Due to the nature of HPA's work, and the collaborating with various team members and clients, the position is an on-site Permanent Full-Time role that requires relocation to Nashville. To ensure continued service delivery, this is not a project-based engagement.

The Business Analyst person will be encouraged to:

* Act as an advocate for the Business Unit, Business Analyst ensures that requirements meet needs of customers by building designs that fit, monitoring development, and testing the results.
* Documents existing business processes and participates in process improvement projects. This requires a strong knowledge of the applicable business process and applications.
* Develops use cases and acceptance criteria and monitors testing progress to ensure that applications are fully tested prior to deployment.
* Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Execute and maintain standard corporate practices for testing.
* Produce test reporting, build test metrics and implement software applications following established software development processes as well as architectural and testing standards.
* Leads and assists the efforts of IT testing staff including responsibility for work products and projects and directing others in order to reach goals.
* Demonstrates innovation when evaluating the business implications of technology solutions.
* Serves as main contact and technical adviser to clients.
* Perform feasibility analysis on potential ways of streamlining and improving the efficiency of the QA process.
* Plans, coordinates, and monitors the progress of applications to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals.
* Works with the Business and Development to plan and coordinate short and long term testing strategy and implementation.
* Serve as a liaison resource for others on the team or partners within other business units
* Position may require availability outside of normal working hours and beyond a normal work week of 40 hours.

Ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

* Bachelor's degree
* 0-2 Years' of experience as a Business Analyst, or area of related expertise.
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Strong troubleshooting abilities to get to the source of problems and think critically regarding possible solutions.
* Proven leadership abilities including ability to share knowledge, resolve conflict and build consensus.
* Ability to take the lead on the complex tasks.
* Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize.
* Logical, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Must display initiative, ability to work independently and be able to use extensive independent judgment.
* Must display the highest level of critical thinking in order to weigh alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with the business strategy.
* Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks.
* Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
