Job Description

At CoBank, our Diversity and Inclusion Human Resources Intern will partner with the VP of Diversity and Inclusion on a variety of projects. CoBank is committed to supporting 8 Associated Resource Groups (ARG). An ARG is a community of associates who identify with others similar to themselves. This may include race, gender, age, sexual orientation, functional level, veteran status, differently abled, etc. You will support the ARG groups, plan and support a CoBank ARG Summit, engage with Recruiting on their diversity initiatives, assist with CoBank's external branding in communities of color, and develop a Diversity and Inclusion Briefing document. You will learn real-life business skills and assist with these projects to have an impact on the bank's operations. This is a paid position for undergraduate and graduate students working toward a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Psychology or related discipline.

In addition, various training courses are available throughout the summer for interns. A living stipend will be included.

This 2020 summer intern position is located in our Denver office.

Basic Qualifications

* High school diploma and 1-2 years relevant experience or education.
* Currently enrolled in and working toward a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Psychology or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

* Interest in the value of diversity and inclusion.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communications.
* Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong analytical and research skills.
* Aptitude for learning other software applications.
* Strong customer service aptitude.
* Ability to perform research across multiple systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in banking or financial services industry.
* Knowledge of cooperative principles and the desire to expand in this area.
