Compensation: $23.63 per hour

The City of Green Civil Service Commission will conduct an examination for this full-time position on April 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Application DEADLINE is 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018.

Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform preventative and service maintenance and repair on City-owned vehicles and equipment; maintain repair shop tools; and maintain inventory records.


Completion of automotive mechanic trade school, plus have two (2) years experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel powered equipment. The City will also consider applicants who possess an equivalent combination of training and/or experience. ASE certification for general automobile mechanic and general heavy duty truck mechanic preferred. Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed may be considered.

Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) along with a tanker endorsement plus qualify and remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy.
