Because Citrix continues to rapidly grow, we are looking for bright, enthusiastic college graduates who enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to join our SaaS Development team as Java Software Engineer in Santa Barbara, CA.
The Java Software Engineer is an entry-level software development engineer position. We design and develop products like GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC and GoToAssist. Our technology enables people to work from anywhere with anyone by providing simple-to-use cloud-based collaboration, remote access and IT support solutions for every type of business. We create cutting-edge technology and are constantly introducing new ideas to the industry.
We are looking for talented, creative and motivated Software Engineers with strong analytical skills, unwavering commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic, and cutting-edge technical skills to join our product development teams. You'll apply your skills in an agile/scrum environment, working closely with other developers, designers, and product managers in our Santa Barbara division headquarters.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education
Basic proficiency in a programming language(s) (e.g., C, C++, Java)
Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., design patterns, data structures and algorithms, threads, multithreaded/concurrent programming)
Understanding of application of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle. Knowledge or experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Must have strong knowledge of one or more operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Unix/Linux
For positions in infrastructure teams, good understanding of Audio, Video and Communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) is required. For positions in other teams, basic understanding of Internet technologies (e.g., HTML, XML, TCP/IP) is required.
