Program Description:

This paid summer internship will span 10 weeks. As a Summer Intern, you will get the chance to contribute as a member of the team in which you are placed and have responsibilities similar to a first year professional.

Selected interns will work within one of the business units detailed below.

Client Service

Client Service provides best in class servicing experiences through proactive engagement, partnership, and innovation; delivered through a client-centric organizational construct leveraging innovative technologies and a culture of exceptional client care. Client Service provides post-go-live and ongoing relationship and product based services to our Citi Transaction Services Cash Management Customers; providing multi-product service capability including funds transfer, disbursements, lockbox, automated clearing house, and check collections.

Global Loans

Global Loan Operations North America provides operational support for Citi originated corporate loans, syndicated loan agency servicing and par & distressed loan trading activity originated from the respective desks in North America.

Public Sector

Public Sector provides critical document and payment processing services including mail receipt, document preparation, data enrichment, remittance processing, and outbound shipping of work supporting the Public Sector.

TTS Payment/Receivable Operations

TTS Payment Receivable Operations consists of Electronic File Services, Controlled Disbursements, and US Depository Services. Electronic File Services supports the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) & Automated Clearing House (ACH) products. Controlled Disbursements provides clients with the ability to maintain zero-balance checking accounts, funded daily to prevent overdrafts and maximize liquidity. US Depository Services allows for Citi clients to make deposits via other banking institutions (correspondent banks).

Account Services Operations

The mission of Account Services Operations is to deliver the best experience to clients while at the same time ensuring strict adherence to the firm's account opening regulatory, risk, and compliance polices relating to opening, maintaining, and closing accounts. As an operations unit, we are responsible for the end-to-end processes from client engagement through to account data maintenance within a variety of platforms across the globe.

TTS Ops Controls

TTS Operations Controls provides independent risk & control oversight and support to client operations through engaged partnership. TTS Ops Controls provides policy application support and education; acts as an advisor on process and control design for existing and new processes/products; conducts periodic Controls reviews to evaluate control design and operational effectiveness of controls; and provides risk & control reporting to assist managers in monitoring key risks.


Summer interns are integrated as full-time team members of the business unit in which they are placed and undertake responsibilities within most aspects of their team. Additionally, interns are responsible for ad-hoc projects throughout the course of the summer, which they will be required to present on at the end of the internship. Additionally, there will be a full calendar of events designed to foster teamwork and create networking opportunities with fellow interns and senior leaders within Citi.

All Citi Delaware Summer Interns are actively pursuing their bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2020 and June 2021.

Degree/Major(s): Bachelor's Degree/All disciplines are welcome

GPA: 3.0 or higher

The following business unit is looking for candidates who are actively pursuing their bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2021 and June 2022.

Tax Information Reporting Unit

The FRSS Tax Information Reporting unit is a centralized Technology and Operations solution Utility to support global tax compliance across 85+ countries covering 500+ accounts and creating a consistent client experience on U.S. tax matters. The scope of work is client perspective and sensitive with deep regulatory impact for the firm.
