Our Meraki Wireless Compliance and Certification Engineers ensure Cisco Meraki hardware meets global regulatory requirements and industry certification standards. You will take full ownership of DFS and WiFi Alliance testing for all Meraki WiFi products. You will collaborate closely with our firmware development team and business partners to ensure products meet all regulatory requirements prior to release and continue to align with standards throughout the full product life cycle.

What does a Wireless Certification and Compliance Engineer do?

* We work closely with independent test labs to ensure wireless products pass industry certifications.
* We train test lab engineers to run tests that ensure wireless products align with radio regulations around the world.
* We reproduce problems discovered in the lab and work directly with our firmware engineers to resolve them.
* We handle and maintain all in-house compliance and certification testbeds and run pre - certification tests on all WiFi products.

Are you an ideal fit?

* You have advanced knowledge of 802.11 protocols and experience solving problems with low-level wireless issues.
* You have experience with wired networking standards and protocols like IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP.
* You have knowledge of FCC/IC/ETSI/MIC etc. regulatory requirements for wireless certification.
* You are strong with configuring routers, switches, and wireless access points.
* You have professional experience with Linux environments.
* You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team of developers and test engineers.
* BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Wi-Fi networking certifications are a plus.

What would really stand out?

* You have experience with any scripting language: Ruby, Python etc.
* You have knowledge of relational databases and SQL
