The Business Entity
Insieme is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. Insieme also developed a 40G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of 40G optics to better compete with other competitor switches.

The Team
The future of networking with ACI is about providing a network that is deployed, monitored, and managed in a fashion that supports DevOps and rapid application change. ACI does so through the reduction of complexity and a common policy framework that can automate provisioning and managing of resources.

Cisco seeks a Software Engineer to define, design and build a flexible, scalable framework for the new data center network with Cisco Nexus Switches

This role will work on a cutting edge data center switching/routing product. We are looking for candidates who strive in a fast paced start like environment. The work involves design and development in customized networking environment for some key system software. You will be part of a fast paced team responsible for delivering quality code for large complex systems requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
Required Skills:
• Strong in basic electronics, to understand board schematics, .brd file using allegro viewer.
• Should be part of a HW product development cycle & have exposure to the tools and applications to store the reports, plans & to track bugs.
• Should be well versed in tabulation of test results & communicating issues that arise, as well as testing & validation completion.
• Should have experience in high speed board testing & qualification activities like DVT
• Should have experience working in Linux / Unix environment, Window OS & Familiarity with Spreadsheet, Word Processor, Database, excel & ppt , Email & Web Browser software is a must.
• Should have experience in assembling, installation, and configuration of network switch systems.
• Should have experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing boards and systems using test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, & Signal Generators, etc.)
• Should be good in Networking. Ability to configure and set up complex router and traffic equipment on a wide variety of interfaces. Ethernet, Serial, exposure to traffic generators ( IXIA/ Spirent), and L2/L3 testing (BGP/MPLS/VRF protocols))
• Able to participate as a team member. Able to work independently. Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills, ability to adapt to changing priorities and dedication are keys to success. Workloads are heavy, and there is considerable responsibility. Excellent writing & speaking skills.

Desirable Skills :
• Support development prototype testing and sustaining engineering on any of the router / switch products.
• Board & system bring up, troubleshooting to component level, and problem analysis.
• Alpha & Beta hardware distribution and tracking; generating inventory reports.
• Updating systems with new hardware and firmware.
• Responsibilities include: Determining what test equipment and procedures are to be used. Setting priorities and directing the activities of lab rework personnel and technicians.
• Bonus if, knowledge & experience in scripting (Python, Pearl, TCL, Expect)
