Job Description

Software Compliance Intern

Cirrus Aircraft is looking for an intern to join our Quality Department for the summer or 2019. This intern will be working side by side with members of the team to gain hands on experience in a large manufacturing setting.

Qualifications:

* Applicants must in their junior year or above.
* Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
* Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
* Computer science and software experience preferred but not required.
* Minimum 2.5 GPA.

Education/Training:

* Electrical Engineering or relevant degree in progress
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Other Duties:

* Defining manufacturing quality inspections of Software Products
* Method of software identification
* Method of software configuration identification (config files / option files)
* Method of software configuration identification (file control / reproducibility)
* Management of real time configuration / software updates from shipped units


* Defining manufacturing test needs (Physical Box, interfaces, self-updates)
* Support Software Quality Assurance Plan developed for DO178/254 processes
* Development of templates and checklists for SQA to go along with the above SQAP.
* Support updates to Quality Manual and CDEPs for software development processes
* Support drawing and BOM process for software part identification
