Circuitlink is an International leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of data acquisition equipment widely used in the transit bus arena with North America. Supported by a local distributor based in Detroit Michigan, we are looking for a sales engineer to support both our local distributor and major transit agencies that use our product. As a sales professional you will also be able to identify and win tenders for our equipment while assisting the transit industry to better understand how to benefit from our technology. Responsibilities and Duties In addition to attracting new clients and opening new markets for Circuitlink, the Senior Sale Engineer will be expected to keep up to date on competitor activities, which you will analyze and use to develop territory strategy recommendations for the Company Managers. You will belong to an organization that recognizes, and is at the forefront of digital data technology and sales. Supported by the latest technological tools, and industry leading knowledge building opportunities, the Sales Engineer will test and evaluate customer and prospect processes, design solutions , and when necessary, present productivity improvement plans that highlight the proper application of Circuitlink value-added products. In this role, will cultivate effective partnerships with our customers and deliver solutions. You will be a key player in helping our customers ensure their continued growth and success. Location is flexible, with travel requirement of 25-50%, occasional international.

Qualifications and Skills

The Senior Sales Engineer must be a highly organized, outgoing self-starter. Apart from holding an associate's degree in an applied science, a business degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in a technical sales position, you understand and embrace new technology and have previously worked in an industrial setting. Networking and cooperation are in your DNA, and you have a well-developed ability to prioritize, follow up and conclude deals. You recognize that cultivating effective partnerships with our customers and delivering solutions that meet their current and future demands is essential to continued growth and success. This is a field based position, location flexible.

About You

  • Have successfully led evaluations of predictive maintenance, asset performance, or other analytic solutions to large manufacturers Must have a domain experience and expertise in one or multiple of the following fields and industries:
  • Manufacturing, Automotive, Transportation, Fleet Management.
  • You can demonstrate a functional understanding of maintenance / asset performance.
  • Thrive in a diversity of hands-on customer and prospect interactions whether they be in-person and on-site visits, webinars, speaking at conferences, calls and white board sessions that demonstrate your ability to understand and translate customer/prospect needs.
  • Understanding and ongoing curiosity of the Industrial IoT, Big Data, Predictive Maintenance, Machine Learning and Data Science Technologies that enables you to help work and design specific solutions based on the needs of your customers and prospects.
  • Strong experience working with lines of business and information technology organizations inside manufacturing companies.
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in a technology field including, Computer Science, Management information systems, Mechanical Engineering, signal processing or equivalent work experience
  • 3+yrs. of directly related experience in a technology company and demonstrable success working in a customer-facing role selling to manufacturers
