Job Description

Job Summary A Pharmacy Student is someone who is currently licensed by the state of Alabama to engage in the practice of pharmacy while under the personal supervision of a pharmacist and is adequately progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a pharmacist; or graduate of an approved college of pharmacy who is currently licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Student will be responsible for the preparation, compounding, manufacturing and assimilation of the pharmaceutical products of medical supplies necessary to meet patient needs as directed by Physician#s Medication Orders. The Pharmacy Student must be able to read, comprehend, and apply the extensive and diversified departmental policies and procedures in a perpetual commitment to personal development to achieve the highest execution of objectives. Work must be completed in an accurate and efficient manner under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This practice will be governed by the standards of institutional hospital pharmacy as stated by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. Education A current Pharmacy Student at an Alabama accredited School of Pharmacy Experience Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Extern/Intern License required.
