Functional Accountabilities

Grow
  1. Encourage and share new ways of making the right work easier to do
  2. Recognize and share incremental improvements in operations
  3. Promote the success of organizational and department initiatives by clearly aligning programs to the mission
Strategic Planning
  1. Execute a strategy for engaging new and existing corporate prospects at Children's Hospital Foundation
  2. Build and grow a pipeline of corporate prospects to engage in the mission of Children's National through unrestricted and restricted giving (leveraging Board volunteers, hospital and foundation leadership and staff)
  3. Work with development staff to assess current partners and devise strategies for increased engagement and support
Fundraising
  1. Develop and package corporate sponsorship prospects and cause marketing opportunities, including various engagement options and pricing tiers
  2. Activate the resources and programs of the hospital to solicit partnerships and donations (call to action campaign and hospital priorities such as Healing Garden, workplace giving, etc.)
  3. Negotiate, prepare, and execute sponsorship and cause marketing agreements to raise funds for CN
Project Management
  1. Develop, communicate and monitor pipeline, proposals and move management timeline
  2. Create new processes to create greater efficiencies, stronger deliverables and high level of stewardship for corporate partners
  3. Evaluate pipeline, prospects, and partners to maximize revenues
Collaboration and Communication
  1. Create year long stewardship plans with current corporate partners through communications vehicles (foundation/hospital updates, invitation to events, hospital engagement opportunities) to elevate giving levels
  2. In collaboration with philanthropic communications, Corporate and Community Giving team and Major Gift Officers, develop messaging and marketing materials in support of corporate sponsorship and cause marketing programs, including external applications/packets, internal guidelines, etc.
  3. Work across Corporate and Community Giving to bundle and leverage new sponsorship opportunities, providing guidance and innovative ideas to engage sponsors as partners

Internship Program

The internship program provides the novice nurse with the knowledge base and skill set needed to transition to competence in clinical nursing practice. While providing the needed skills to meet the organization goals and mission, the program provides nurses with the leadership skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The program bridges the gap between undergraduate education and real-life professional nursing practice, delivering state-of-the art pediatric care.

The program is offered to new graduate nurses from an accredited nursing program with a passion for children. All new graduates, with less than one-year acute care experience, are eligible to participate in the program after obtaining licensure.
