Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint and similar programs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and handle confidential materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills necessary to interact diplomatically and tactfully with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers with highest level of professionalism.
  • The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the finance department.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and GAAS guidelines
  • Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques
  • Prior success conducting external or internal audits
  • Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience
  • Ability to consider multiple variables to determine proper course of action.


Functional Accountabilities

General & Internal Controls

  1. Inventory policies and procedures
  2. Ensure all policies and procedures are updated at least once every three years
  3. Develop policies and procedures where deemed necessary

Communications

  1. Prepare documents using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. May prepare complex documents requiring the integration of multiple office technology and software applications.
  2. Work (Liaise) with Business Units and/or specialty practice staff to develop value-adding information to facilitate the Finance Department's effectively partnering with internal clients.
  3. Continually improve processes and facilitate the department's ability to respond to financial information needs/requests.
  4. Continually explore new methods to improve operations, work with management team to gain acceptance, and support implementation efforts.
  5. Communicate operational issues and progress toward goals to other members of the management team.

Internship Program

The internship program provides the novice nurse with the knowledge base and skill set needed to transition to competence in clinical nursing practice. While providing the needed skills to meet the organization goals and mission, the program provides nurses with the leadership skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The program bridges the gap between undergraduate education and real-life professional nursing practice, delivering state-of-the art pediatric care.

The program is offered to new graduate nurses from an accredited nursing program with a passion for children. All new graduates, with less than one-year acute care experience, are eligible to participate in the program after obtaining licensure.
