Qualifications

 Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Graphic design, interaction design, instructional technology, or similar degree or equivalent work experience. M.F.A. is desired, but not required.

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Five years, ideally, including experience working in an agency environment with a variety of clients. Candidates will need to present samples of recent work. Previous experience as a graphic designer developing vector graphics.


Required Skills/Knowledge

Advanced MAC-based InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop skills required. Strong knowledge of electronic format needs for printing and production. Basic HTML and knowledge of Web design principles. Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects necessary. Familiarity with specialized needs, such as large-format design specifications, typography use.

Functional Accountabilities

Print Design

  1. Working with marketing and communications leaders, conceptualize and design a variety of print materials, including print advertising, flyers, brochures, postcards, banners, posters and other projects.
  2. Translates strategic direction into compelling and on-brand visual communications. Understands how to partner with writers to ensure that the message is presented in an integrated manner.
Print Production Management
  1. Working with Brand, Marketing and Communications teams, manage production vendors (e.g., printers, illustrators) and ensure quality standards are met. Participate in vendor selection and bidding. Attend/supervise press checks as needed.
  2. Ensure that all images are properly released, and necessary approvals/permissions are in place.
  3. Develop and manage timelines and budgets, and work collaboratively to ensure that they are met.
Digital Design
  1. Develop and design a variety of e-blasts and newsletters to support marketing efforts, including referring physician messaging, save-the-dates, and invitations.
Asset Management
  1. Responsible for the oversight of asset management, including uploading files with appropriate taxonomy and key word data.
  2. Develop system to maintain organized storage of art files for recurring jobs to insure efficient updates

Internship Program

The internship program provides the novice nurse with the knowledge base and skill set needed to transition to competence in clinical nursing practice. While providing the needed skills to meet the organization goals and mission, the program provides nurses with the leadership skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The program bridges the gap between undergraduate education and real-life professional nursing practice, delivering state-of-the art pediatric care.

The program is offered to new graduate nurses from an accredited nursing program with a passion for children. All new graduates, with less than one-year acute care experience, are eligible to participate in the program after obtaining licensure.
