Designs and develops end-user training modules, courses, and curricula that feature learning technologies. Uses authoring and graphic design software to develop computer-based training, video-based training, mobile learning, distance learning, simulations, and virtual classroom solutions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Education, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration from an accredited college or equivalent experience


  • No professional certifications required


  • 1 year of experience in developing eLearning products and solutions

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with authoring software, including Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, and Storyline
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with graphic design technologies, including Flash, SnagIt, Camtasia, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Premier
  • Demonstrated knowledge of audio and digital video production and post-production
  • Demonstrated knowledge of learning management systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design methodologies and principles
  • Demonstrated experience with developing job aids and training materials
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SCORM and Section 508 compliance
  • Must be able to demonstrate well-developed and proven organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent writing and verbal skills
  • Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities


  1. Designs, develops, and implements new training content and courseware.
  2. Maintains/updates existing training materials.
  3. Works with subject matter experts to define/write scripts and acquire source content.
  4. Captures and edits instructional audio and video content.
  5. Develops design specifications, storyboards, and interactions.
  6. Creates HTML, Flash, JavaScript, and ActionScript objects, designs, and functions for training modules.
  7. Works on multiple projects simultaneously and meets deadlines.
  8. Troubleshoots and resolves issues with learning technologies and courseware.
  9. Assists in deployment of learning technologies/tools and delivery of technology-based training.
  10. Provides support and administers learning technologies.
  11. Assesses/evaluates effectiveness of learning technologies and technology-based training modules and programs, submit recommendations, a+B22nd implement improvements.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
