Assist the organization in evaluating and supporting the system in the development of strategies for the acquisition of products and services and assists the organization in the implementation of these strategies.

  • No professional certifications required

EXPERIENCE*

  • 5 years of experience in supply chain/materials management, including experience in sourcing bid process, contract review/analysis, and negotiation of goods and services
  • 3 years of experience in Purchasing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems
  • Industry professional certification (e.g. CPM, CSCP, CMRP, CCCM)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

  • Demonstrated the ability to review, summarize, and negotiate contractual agreements for goods and services with Supply Chain components
  • Advanced analytical skills in database management tools, including Microsoft Office Proven ability to lead small teams, plan, manage, and track projects through Sourcing completion
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written, oral, and presentation format across organizational levels
  • Proven ability to facilitate productive meetings, participates in issue clarification, decision-making, and resolution at appropriate levels

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Lead sourcing component of projects as outlined in compnay policy (level 1 and 2) by researching products and equipment and presenting options to stakeholders.
  2. Utilizes benchmarking tools to identify opportunities as part of analysis.
  3. Analyze new and existing products, equipment, service, and technology by providing cost analysis, contract support, and purchase considerations to stakeholders.
  4. Supports the Value Analysis Team and X item committee with analytical and contractual skills.
  5. Provides analytical and operational support to Strategic Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Supervisor, and Senior Sourcing Analysts as directed.
  6. Negotiates terms and condition, statements of work, and other pertinent contract documents from a Sourcing perspective.
  7. Leads sourcing process for group purchasing organizations and local contracts for consumables.
  8. Ensures executed pricing and contractual agreements are recorded in the Supply Chain system tool as applicable.
  9. Verifies that executed agreements have been reviewed by the Legal Department prior to issuing purchase orders.
  10. Creates purchase orders as needed.
  11. Manages daily workflow and assigned projects by resolving exception management.
  12. Manages projects as outlined in the Sourcing Contract PLan to include managing Sourcing metrics related to capital, IST, service, and consumables.
  13. Supports process improvement initiatives.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
