JOB SUMMARY
Works as an empowered member of the Safety and Security team, within established guidelines, procedures and protocols in order to provide administrative and operational support to the Security Services Department, Manager, Supervisors, Security Officers, Dispatchers and Shuttle Drivers for the care, welfare, safety, services and security of the hospital personnel, visitors, patients and property.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY
- Valid Georgia driver’s license
EXPERIENCE*
- 5 years of experience in the Security, Law Enforcement, Military or public relations fields in a supervisory capacity

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Serves as the primary system contact for safety & security training for Children’s staff.
- Acts as a liaison with hospital and all ambulatory locations regarding staff development on safety and security initiatives, equipment, and processes.
- Develops and delivers training programs and materials to various levels of employees
- Collaborates with the Learning Department on all training activities related to both in-person and computer based training opportunities.
- Tracks all safety & security related training activities in a manner that can be shared with regulatory agencies.
- Coordinates security responsibilities during special events.
- Responds to unusual situations, incidents or complaints.
- Seeks out and attend various training opportunities in order to remain current on security and professional issues.
- Assists Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
