JOB SUMMARY

Leads Project Management Office. Manages and reports deliverables, status, and quality elements throughout lifecycle of projects that may span multiple functions, departments, and processes. Provides oversight and coaches Project Managers.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1. Leads Project Management Office.
2. Works closely with Strategy Project Leaders to identify, define, and document project goals, scope, assumptions, interdependencies, deliverables, financial investment, budget variances, and risks.
3. Builds and maintains robust project management database and other systems to track status/impact of system strategic initiatives.
4. Creates presentations for executive-level communications.
5. Facilitates meetings with clear objectives and meaningful outcomes.
6. Oversees development and implementation of project plans including master schedule, budget impact, resource allocation, and risk management.
7. Manages scheduling issues related to system strategic initiatives.
8. Works with key stakeholders to build structured and adaptable approach to complete projects on time.
9. Provides guidance to Strategy department and System Strategy Project Managers regarding project management protocols, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
10. Communicates project plans and milestones to project team members, users, and involved parties.
11. Establishes internal support for methods used to complete projects.
12. Manages project expectations, engaging the right partners at the right time to accomplish goals and align with business strategies.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
