Job Summary:

The Facilities Business Analyst will be responsible for thedevelopment and reporting of financial data for the department of FacilitiesOperations. The position incorporatesall accounting and finance related aspects of the business cycle, including,but not limited to forecasting and budget analysis, monthly operation resultsanalysis, development and compliance with accounting processes and procedures. This position will play a key role indeveloping and implementing improved business reporting processes.

Typical Duties:

* Lead the development and recommend cost accounting model atthe school level.
* Conducts financial projections and analysis of programexpenses including multi-year business planning.
* Participates in maintaining the program's fiscal integrityby implementing sound fiscal plans, internal control systems and auditactivities.
* Assist the Business Manager with development, analysis andcommunication of key operational metrics.
* Development of forecasts, financial modeling and analysis,expense budgets, cost standards and savings opportunities together withnecessary controls, and open purchase orders.
* Support the budget development process in partnership withthe CPS budget department.
* Collaborate with Finance, Budget, Procurement and otherteams on all key initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) with concentration in accounting, finance or related field.
* Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
* Experience in project management concepts, practices and procedures.
* Proficient with the use of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, SQL and Access.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public is required.
* Experience in successfully creating and /or modifying processes.
* Flexibility; Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Knowledge of and the ability to make future projections (e.g. volume, financial statements, economic data, consumer preference, headcount) and use these projections to help plan future operations.
* Knowledge of Oracle and PeopleSoft ERP systems a plus.
* Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of best practices/processes with demonstrated experience in applying principals.
* Possess integrity and tact when dealing with confidentialinformation and sensitive situations.
* A wide degree of creativity, and independent thinking.
* Demonstrated skills in trend analysis to proactivelyidentify issues and make sound recommendations.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence otherswithout formal authority.
* The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference is required.
* Experience in supporting and assisting in the strategic planning process.
* Experience in leading the implementation of cross-functional finance projects.
* Familiarity with grant and/or contract administration a plus but not required.
* Experience with cash collection and POS over multiple locations a plus.
* Have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) with a high level of professionalism.
