We invented the locum tenens staffing model in 1979 and as the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.

Our IT department is currently seeking enthusiastic software engineering students to participate in our summer internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong interest in contributing to a highly collaborative team environment, is a self-starter and is eager to learn.

As an intern at CHG, you'll work side-by-side top engineers in the staffing industry. You will also be assigned an experienced mentor, who will be available for questions and guidance in completing assigned projects.

The CHG IT internship is currently scheduled for the summer semester, however, it could be extended depending on business need.

We're looking for people who:

* Design, build, test and deploy new applications, in partnership with your mentor
* Participate in testing and code reviews, while receiving and providing feedback as needed
* Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
* Learn team applications and processes
* Participate in maintenance and enhancing of existing applications, with direction from your mentor
* Get acquainted with and integrate with your assigned team/teammates

Your role.

* Strong desire to learn and grow in your information technology skillset
* Team player, with a willingness to support and assist your teammates anyway you are able to
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent and timely follow-up on commitments and projects
* Flexibility and ability to switch tasks quickly when necessary
* Experience in an Object-Oriented programming language including Java, or JavaScript (ES6)

Education Requirements:

* Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related major
* Must be a Junior or Senior level in your program, graduate student, or a recent graduate
* Have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA within your major
