Job Description

Chegg is currently building the search and recommendation platforms that will form the backbone of our future as they bring students closer together. As our system grows and matures, we seek the wisdom and superior workmanship of a technically strong QA leader to help attain our goals of continuous deployment, low production defect rate, and confidence in our software. We take pride in our work, and each of us individually is keenly interested in improving our team's technical and business metrics. As such, our engineers have a hand in reaching these QA goals by using standards, following best practices, documenting our modules, and building unit tests and component-level integration tests. However, without the right QA frameworks, leadership and execution, we cannot reach our ultimate vision.

The ideal candidate is a QA Automation Engineer who has proven their technical prowess in past engineering projects, but is also ready to lead and own the QA roadmap for our team. He or she must be able to accurately assess the current testing situation, identify the most rewarding improvements, create tactical and strategic plans to implement them, and continuously advocate for their swift execution.

You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with the best and brightest at Chegg -- a highly-skilled and highly technical software development team -- and may be presenting to a wider audience in the company.
