Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Internal auditing at Chart is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to conduct reviews of company operations, procedures, and controls and to report issues and recommendations to management as appropriate in order to add value and improve the organization’s operations and safeguard the company’s assets.  The Senior Internal Auditor will help accomplish this mission by performing audit and advisory services that encompass financial, compliance, and operational reviews in accordance with applicable professional audit standards. The duties include supporting the planning, organization and completion of audits of Chart’s business functions by developing comprehensive risk assessments, evaluating key controls, preparing customized audit programs and testing compliance while learning about Chart’s operations. The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Director of Internal Audit.

 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

•   Perform audit procedures to identify, evaluate and report on complex operational and business risks and controls in accordance with professional standards

•   Aid in process risk assessments, develop comprehensive audit programs in collaboration with management, and prepare audit reports

  • Perform tests of SOX key controls on behalf of management
  • Provide direct assistance to external auditors

•   Report audit findings and make recommendations for the correction of factors causing deficient conditions, improvements in operations, and cost savings

  • Recommend changes in audit process in order to maintain the highest quality standards
  • Communicate and interact routinely and effectively with Chart’s management
  • Develop a good understanding of Chart’s operations worldwide
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Special projects based on management’s requests

 

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting, internal audit, or directly applicable industry experience
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus (preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools (e.g. Access, ACL, IDEA)
  • International experience a plus

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence dealing with senior management 
    • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate co-workers

    • Proficient project management/time management capabilities
    • Ability to address unusual and difficult problems
    • Understand and effectively interpret corporate and local procedures

 

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree, with major in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant certification
    • Knowledge of accounting theory and practice, and internal auditing standards/practices
    • Manufacturing industry knowledge and experience
    • Knowledge of information technology control objectives and control techniques

 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional international travel
  • Ability to adapt to changes, different roles, or environments
  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting.
