Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurants, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, He/She will oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure excellent customer service.

Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Interview hourly employees. Direct hiring with the approval of the home office. Conduct Training, orientation. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare weekly schedule and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts. Provide strong presence in local community.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Estimate food and beverage costs. Work with Corporate office staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies. Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
  • Estimate food needs
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
  • Will uphold all ServSafe guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable. A practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, POS systems)
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping.
  • Must possess a valid drivers licence.
  • Must be able to work variable and long hours
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop future leaders
  • Previous restaurant/retail management experience in restaurant and bar.
  • The ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
