Job Description

Lightning Labels is seeking qualified candidates to be a New Business Development Representative in the Southern California region.

The New Business Development Representative is responsible for developing new customer opportunities and drive sales for the Lightning Labels brand. You will be expected to represent the brand professionally by communicating the value of our product lines to prospective and existing customer alike, representing the core values and mission of the Lightning Labels team, and meeting sales growth expectations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

* Achieve sales growth for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
* work with and take direction from sales and marketing leadership to drive consistent results
* Daily review of prospective account acquisition and engagement schedules
* Proactive prospect engagement; follow-up with all leads, lead sources, and account verticals
* meeting and/or exceeding all individual and team sales goals
* provide active new account management while delivering outstanding customer service
* Maintain CRM database and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly activity/conversion reports
* Attend and actively participate in sales team meetings focused on sales targets and forecasts

* minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent. A college degree preferred
* minimum 2 years applicable sales and/or account management experience in an outside sales business development role is required.
* Knowledge of and established relationships within the Southern California cannabis industry is highly preferred
* A strong history of demonstrating exceptional customer service and account management skills.
* Excellent and above average written and oral communication skills when engaging with new prospects and existing customers
* Exceptionally strong telephone skills with the ability to educate, inform and lead prospective customers to purchase. Consultative in-person and telephone closing skills are critical to be successful
* Proven ability to learn and adapt to a changing market and industry conditions
* Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, self directed entrepreneurial environment
* Excellent time management skills and work habits; ability to prioritize tasks and daily workflow
* Strong decision-making and problem solving ability through creative thinking and following-through
* Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and focus on details of customer accounts and orders
* Strong desire to succeed individually, while contributing to the success of the team and company
