Applies nursing critical thinking processes to evaluate patient care by conducting concurrent trauma patient care evaluation through EMR, abstraction and clinical rounds. Assists in the coordination of care and trauma performance improvement with other trauma service team members and accurately enters clinical data points into the trauma registry. Actively participates in the achievement of trauma service goals to maintain appropriate trauma center designation.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred

Two years recent hospital based nursing experience Basic computer skills
Current state RN license for applicable state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Current ACLS and TNCC upon hire or within one year of hire/transfer Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) certification from Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine upon hire or within 2 years of hire/transfer CSTR Registry Certification upon hire or within 3 years of hire/transfer Membership to a related professional organization preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, Emergency Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association), preferred
