About Cellnet

Cellnet, founded in 1985, is the utility market's leading provider of wireless fixed data communication networks and solutions. Cellnet reads over 11 million electric, gas, and water endpoints daily, is the only large-scale fixed network provider that offers its network solutions as a managed service. Cellnet is the only provider to offer its network solution in three different service models: managed service, build and transfer, or own and operate. Cellnet is the only company to provide both one and two-way reading solutions that can offer fixed network service across three types of utilities: Water, Gas and Electric. Cellnet's launch of Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) will further empower and allow gas, water and electric utilities to better optimize grid efficiencies, not only in real time, but for the future as well. PROVIDES TECHNOLOGY FOR TODAY AND THE FUTURE: Software Cellnet partners with leading vendors, leveraging our expertise to bring our customers the most value from their data. Cellnet applications enable utilities to perform countless functions on and with the data-need collected from the network, including system monitoring and control, data warehousing, and performance analytics. Endpoints Cellnet's endpoints operate in the unlicensed 902-928 MHz frequency range using proprietary protocol using either direct sequence spread spectrum technology or frequency hopping spread spectrum technology. Cellnet-enabled endpoints partner with concentrators to support basic consumption, time-of-use, demand, and load profile applications, including real-time pricing to deliver a seamless offering from one provider to our customers. Cellnet-enabled endpoints transmit both static data (such as meter ID, type, and endpoint LAN address) as well as dynamic data (such as total energy consumption, interval data, and diagnostic flags).
