Job Description

Overview

The Intern will be exposed to the practical side of Bio manufacturing. The Intern will learn and eventually assist in routine manufacturing processes. This position is located at the Fall River, MA facility.

Responsibilities

* Buffer and media preparation.
* Stocking of Purification and Bioreactor suites.
* Cleaning and autoclaving.
* Train and assist in the maintenance of cells in culture, in set up, inoculation, and maintaining of bioreactors as well as assisting in purification activities in a clean room environment.

Qualifications

* Intern must be enrolled in and maintain enrollment at an accredited College/University in a B.A, B.S with 2 years of college level courses completed, or AS degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field or be 2/3 completed in a biotechnology certificate program.
* Intern must be approved by Massachusetts Life Science Center Internship Program.
* Basic laboratory skills
